Cihan Denis, the Chef, was born and bred in Istanbul, Turkey. He got started with working with a world-famous Turkish butcher and restaurateur Nusret Gökçe. Cihan was only 13 years old then. Later, he worked about 10 years in Günaydın steakhouse, established in 1965, where he raised up to the chef of the 21 restaurants of the chain.
Now Cihan Denis is 35 years old. He is heading one of the Arkady Novikov restaurants – Cihan Turkish Steak and Kebab, which bears his name, thanks to the concept of the restaurant, entirely Cihan’s idea.
