The ultimate European trend – a pursuit for quality and simplicity without pathos and glamour becomes popular in Moscow. One of the first places which represents the trend is the first Asian pub and restaurant RONI. RONI – is the result of creative collaboration between Arkadiy Novikov and the chef of Nedalniy Vostok restaurant Glen Ballis. This place unites tasty and comprehensive cuisine, industrial design, quality music and affordable prices. RONI’s interior is a loft, where every decorative detail is brought from somewhere in the world: lamps from Indonesia, table from Thailand, mirror and elephant statue from India. The most attractive detail is a large table in the very center of the restaurant, which is a trunk cut of a 600-year tree, considered in Asian traditions a house charm. The pub is rationally divided into such zones as a separate chamber for a huge company and a bar zone where you can observe cooking and drink mixing process. The kitchen is managed by Pavel Dzublo, famous for working with Glen Ballis in Nedalny Vostok. The menu represents Asian dishes cooked on a Japanese brazier with tree rows of grills which is still uncommon for Moscow. This device allows choosing the most appropriate cooking temperature for different kinds of dishes, like on the open flame. In RONI you cannot only observe the cooking process but participate in it choosing sauces and ingredients, according to the recipes from every part of Asia. Special attention is paid to drink, especially cocktail list, which offers a great variety of tastes from classic ones to originally mixed drinks. The best part of the recipes is brought by Glen Ballis from all over the world. The interactive whiteboard recommends new dishes and drinks for the guests. In the evenings the atmosphere is refreshed with DJ’s sets of Moscow residents and on special occasions of foreign stars. If someone asks you what RONI means, just say that it is a lifestyle or a way of thinking...each has his own RONI.
